What cash discount is worth, and until when.

Only what has reached the supplier by the last day is safe. The calculator tells you the last day and the latest transfer day, works out the effective interest rate against your overdraft facility and shows the VAT that changes with the deduction.

The calculator works under the German Civil Code (BGB) and the VAT Act (UStG). Agreements in your contract, the terms of your bank and the holidays of individual municipalities may differ. The calculator does not cover interim invoices under VOB/B. It is general information and not legal or tax advice. Law as of 14 Oct 2026, checked against the BGB (§§ 186 to 188, 193, 247, 271a, 286, 288, 675n and 675s), last amended by Art. 6 of the act of 23 Jul 2026 (BGBl. 2026 I No. 226), the UStG (§§ 10, 12, 13b, 17, 18a and 18b), last amended by Art. 5 of the act of 29 Jun 2026 (BGBl. 2026 I No. 197), the public holiday acts of the federal states including Art. 1 BayFTG and Regulation (EU) 2024/886 as in force on that day and the basic interest rate of the Deutsche Bundesbank.

The rules are set by law. The calculator only applies them.

The calculator rounds amounts to the cent by commercial rules and counts dates to the exact day by the calendar. Every rule is stored as a test case and runs automatically with every change.

A SEPA transfer reaches the supplier at the end of the following business day at the latest. The calculator deducts 1 banking day from the last day. An order after your bank's cut-off time counts as received only on the next business day. On paper, the transfer takes one business day longer (§ 675s para. 1 sent. 3 BGB).

What Zentrana does with it automatically

            1. 01 You store payment term, discount and discount period as a payment condition on the customer. Every new invoice takes them over with a due date.
            2. 02 If you record a discounted payment after the discount period ends, the system rejects the deduction.
            3. 03 If an invoice stays open, it lands in the dunning run once the next dunning level is reached.

            In Zentrana, nothing needs recalculating.

What you type in here one by one runs there automatically for every person: hours, deadlines, leave and holidays. Zentrana reports deadlines before they run out.
